Mesa Homeowners Card Adds Complimentary Instacart+ Benefit

Another useful benefit has arrived on the Mesa Homeowners Card.

About the Mesa Instacart+ Perk:

Mesa is teaming up with Instacart for a new benefit. Now, Mesa Homeowners Cardholders as well as Mesa Mortgage Members can claim a complimentary one-year subscription to Instacart+. Normally priced at $99 per year, Instacart+ offers $0 delivery fees on orders of $10 or more ($35 minimum for Costco). Plus, the service includes a Peacock Premium streaming subscription and a one-year subscription to New York Times Cooking. As the press release points out, with Instacart+, members can also order from fellow Mesa partners Lowe’s and Costco.

To get started with this offer, members can visit the Benefits tab of the Mesa app. Then, they can tap “Enroll” to either sign into or create an Instacart account.

More on the Mesa Homeowners Card:

The Mesa Homeowners Card is the first credit card that allows customers to earn rewards points on their mortgage payments. To do this, users can submit proof of their monthly mortgage payment and earn 1 point per dollar after spending $1,000 in purchases on the card during their statement cycle. On top of that, the card also earns 3x on homeowner expenses), such as home improvement, decor, maintenance, utilities, and daycare) as well as 2x on groceries, gas, and EV charging.

Although the Mesa card has no annual fee, it features a number of credits for cardholders. This includes:

  • Lowe’s: Up to $30 per quarter on eligible purchases ($120 per year)
  • Costco: Up to $65 per year for a Costco membership
  • The Farmer’s Dog: Up to $10 per month on eligible purchases ($120 a year)
  • Wag: Up to $10 per month on eligible purchases ($120 a year)
  • Thumbtack: Up to $25 per job booked (up to $200 per year)
  • Armadillo: Up to $100 back on a home warranty deductible (one time)

Mesa Points can be redeemed for a statement credit, gift cards, mortgage payments, travel (via the Mesa travel portal), or transferred to partner airline and hotel programs. However, the value of these rewards points will vary depending on the redemption option.

What They’re Saying:

Announcing this new benefit, Mesa co-founder and CEO Kelley Halpin stated, “Mesa is about giving homeowners more from their everyday spending, and now we can give them back some of their time as well. We’ve built a membership that makes life at home simpler, more rewarding, and more enjoyable. With Instacart+, we’re giving our members conveniences to help ease the daily stress of being a homeowner, like free streaming while the groceries are on the way.”

My Thoughts:

Truth be told, a free Instacart+ membership isn’t too hard to come by these days. In fact, United just announced its partnership with Instacart, which gives flyers temporary Instacart+ perks. Nevertheless, this is a nice addition to the Mesa Homeowners Card and only expands their already impressive line-up of credits — a list that I’d say is unheard of for a no-annual-fee card, frankly.

Do keep in mind that, when activating your trial, you’ll be opting in to auto-renew your plan after your year is up. However, as I’ve confirmed, you can immediately go and cancel your Instacart+ membership to avoid a renewal charge while still enjoying your benefits until expiration.
