Bilt Offering Amazon Bonuses For December 2024 Rent Day

Bilt has announced its special offerings for December’s Rent Day — including perks available leading up to December 1st.

About December 2024’s Rent Day deals:

Just in time for the kick-off to the holiday shopping season, Bilt is offering enhanced Amazon redemptions for Rent Day. Typically, Bilt Points are valued at 0.7¢ each when used for Amazon purchases. However, from now (November 26th) through December 1st, cardholders can use their Bilt Points via Amazon’s Shop with Points program and earn increased value. Specifically, the size of the bonus will depend on the member’s Bilt status:

  • Blue (entry level): 25% bonus
  • Silver: 50% bonus
  • Gold: 75% bonus
  • Platinum: 100% bonus

To take advantage of this offer, customers must first opt into the Shop with Points feature and link their Bilt Mastercard. This can be done by visiting Amazon.com/BiltRewards. Of note, this enhanced redemption deal is capped at the equivalent of $5,000 in spending.

In addition to this Amazon bonus, Bilt Mastercard customers can also earn bonus points ahead of Rent Day. Through November 30th (expiring at 11:59 p.m. Eastern), cardholders can earn 3 Bilt Points per dollar spent on purchases that would otherwise earn 1x — except for rent. This offer is capped at 1,000 total bonus points. Additionally, customers must still meet the card’s five transactions per statement cycle minimum in order to points for that month.

Lastly, Bilt has also launched its latest Home Design collection dubbed The Holiday Capsule. These items can be purchased with Bilt Points or with “cash.” When members do purchase Bilt Collection items using a linked credit card, they’ll earn 2x Bilt Points in addition to any other rewards they’d typically receive.

More Rent Day features:

On top of these special deals, Bilt’s regular Rent Day offers are also returning. Most notably, this means double points for Bilt Mastercard purchases aside from rent. This equates to 6x points on dining, 4x points on select travel, and 2x points on all other non-rent purchases. Akin to the 3x points offer, though, this deal is capped at 1,000 points.

My thoughts:

It was way back in March 2023 when Bilt introduced its first Amazon redemption bonus. Bilt brought it back in January of this year. Both of those offers brought a 50% bonus — which happens to be what I’d receive this month as a Silver member. With this bonus, my Bilt points are worth more than 1.05¢ each. While that’s not a great value considering that Bilt Travel redemptions are 1.25¢ each, it’s definitely not bad (and is a lot better than the regular 0.7¢).

Honestly, I’d be more inclined to take advantage of this deal if there weren’t so many other credit card-related Amazon deals at the moment, including discounts when using points. Moreover, I do wish there was a way to redeem points from multiple credit cards at once, but alas.

As for the pre-Rent Day bonus, triple points do sound pretty good… although the 1,000-point cap means that you’re not going to see too much of an impact overall. Still, if you are Black Friday shopping, the extra $10 (or so) you can earn from the offer isn’t bad.
