Soon, select American Express credit card members will have even more places to use their Resy credit.
About the Resy-Tock Integration and Credit Expansion:
Resy’s addition of Tock restaurants, wineries, and more has officially begun. According to the company, over 25,000 venues from Tock can now be accessed via Resy. In turn, Amex’s Resy credits will be expanding.
Starting September 15th, eligible purchases made on Tock will qualify for Resy credits. Cardholders can confirm whether a location qualifies for the credit by viewing the note on the restaurant’s page. Resy also states that more Tock restaurants will become eligible for the credit “over the coming months.”
Currently, four American Express cards offer Resy credits — including two Delta co-branded cards. However, the value and frequency of these credits vary. Here are the current options:
- American Express Platinum Card: Up to $100 per calendar quarter ($400 per year)
- American Express Gold Card: Up to $50 semi-annually (January-June, July-December – $100 per year)
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card: Up to $20 a month ($240 per year)
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum Card: Up to $10 a month ($120 per year)
The integration of Resy and Tock was first teased in February. That news came 18 months after American Express purchased Tock from Squarespace for $400 million. Amex previously purchased Resy in 2019.
In other Resy news, the platform also announced a partnership with OpenAI that will allow diners to book Resy restaurants directly in ChatGPT. Real-time reservations availability will also show when users ask ChatGPT for dining recommendations. This feature is now available for U.S. restaurants.

Commenting on the update, Resy CEO and SVP of American Express Global Dining Pablo Rivero stated, “Our goal is simple: bring the best in hospitality together on Resy, where they’re discovered by our discerning diners and American Express Card Members.”
My Thoughts:
I’ve been looking forward to this update for quite a while as the number of Resy restaurants in my area is limited — and one of our favorites in town is on Tock. Yet, while I’m excited for what I think will happen, I’m starting to worry that it won’t be as simple as I thought. The fact that Resy is stating that the first round of Tock restaurants won’t be available for the credit until next month and that we’ll then have to wait for others makes me wonder how long I’ll actually be waiting for this particular spot to become eligible for my credit.
Perhaps I’m overreacting, and this language is just some butt-covering on Resy’s part. I guess I’ll find out when September 15th rolls around.
