T-Mobile Introduces “Amazon Business Prime Essentials On Us”

T-Mobile has unveiled a new benefit for its small business customers.

About the new benefit, plan, and more

Starting April 25th, select T-Mobile small business customers will be able to claim a free year of Amazon Business Prime Essentials. Valued at $179 a year, this membership includes free shipping on eligible orders. Additionally, businesses will have access to more than 60 million items that are exclusive to those with Business Prime.

To claim a free year of Amazon Business Prime Essentials, T-Mobile business customers need to have at least three lines of service with Business Unlimited Edge, Business Unlimited Ultimate, Go5G Business Next, or Go5G Business Plus plans.

The addition of this new “On Us” perk also comes as T-Mobile prepares to launch a new business rate plan. On May 2nd, the telecom will debut Business Unlimited Edge. With this plan, if small business customers have at least six lines, they will pay $45 per line. Plus, when new small business customers add 10 lines or more, they can earn a $1,000 credit (which will be paid via 36 monthly credits) for each line. As mentioned, the Business Unlimited Edge plan will also be eligible for the new Amazon Business Prime Essentials On Us one-year deal.

In honor of National Small Business Week, T-Mobile is also giving away $50,000 to businesses. Small businesses can share how they use connectivity and technology for a chance to win one of five $10,000 prizes. To find more information including eligibility requirements or to enter, visit T-Mobile’s small business site.

My thoughts

It’s interesting to see T-Mobile bringing its popular “On Us” brand to its small business plans. This deal now joins several offerings on the consumer side including Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, and more. Unfortunately, akin to a “AAA On Us” offer from the telecom, this Amazon deal is currently for a one-year membership as opposed to being a recurring benefit. Perhaps that could change in time but, for now, it’s more of an extended free trial than anything. Nevertheless, this could still be a helpful perk for small business owners.

As for the new rate plan, while the needs of each business will be different, perhaps this new plan type and bonus offer will allow certain small businesses to save money on their telecom needs. Meanwhile, with T-Mobile giving a total of $50,000 away, it’s definitely worth taking a few minutes and earning a chance to win some of that cash.

Put simply, the value proposition of Pay with GasBuddy is that you can use a special card that's accepted at most gas stations in order to save a few cents off of every gallon of gas you buy. That sounds good — almost too good, if you think like me.
