Bilt Rent Day November 2024 Features British Airways Bonus
For November 2024’s Rent Day, Bilt is putting a new twist on one of its famed transfer bonuses — and even adding a pre-Rent Day deal to the mix.
About the Rent Day November 2024 features:
On November 1st, Bilt members who transfer their points to British Airways can earn a transfer bonus.
In a departure from several past transfer bonuses, it seems that the bonus that members will receive from this British Airways transfer offer won’t be directly tied to their Bilt status. Instead, members will need to log in to see how much their bonus is for. Reportedly, however, the percentage will range from 50% to 100%. This means that, for each Bilt Point transfer to British Airways during this promotion they’ll earn between 1.5 and 2 Avios points, depending on their specific bonus offer.
As a reminder, Bilt Points must be transferred in increments of 1,000 and customers with the basic Blue tier of Bilt status need to transfer at least 2,000 points.
Elsewhere, Bilt is also rolling out a new Martha Stewart Capsule Collection as part of the Bilt Home Collection. This collection includes a decanter, dinnerware, a Dutch oven, and more. Plus, Stewart herself will appear as a guest on this month’s Rent Free game show.
Pre-Rent Day offer:
Ahead of Rent Day in November, Bilt is running another promotion for Bilt Mastercard customers. Starting today and continuing through Halloween (ending on Rent Day itself), cardholders can earn 2x points on grocery store purchases as opposed to the standard 1x. However, this deal is capped at a total of 500 bonus points — so, $500 in qualified grocery spending.
More Rent Day deals:
Speaking of bonus points, as always, Bilt Mastercard customers can once again earn double points on all non-rent purchases on November 1st. This means 6x on dining, 4x on select travel, and 2x on all other purchases (except rent). That said, Rent Day Double Points earnings are now capped at 1,000 bonus points earned.
My thoughts:
There are a couple of interesting things happening with Rent Day this month. First, I’d love to know why Bilt is moving to targetted bonuses instead of basing it on status as it has in the past. Moreover, I’d be very curious to know what factors determine what bonus percentage customers receive. For what it’s worth, my bonus as a Silver member is 50%.
The other intriguing addition this month is the pre-Rent Day grocery store purchases bonus. Initially, I assumed that this would start early but run through Rent Day — but nope. I suppose that’s because they don’t want to cause confusion about whether those purchases would earn double on top of the doubling. In any case, while I don’t exactly understand it, I hope it’s perhaps a test to see if the card might want to introduce a grocery store category in the future. To be clear, such an addition wouldn’t really move the needle for most, but I could be good for publicity, right?
