Bilt Rent Day for October 2024 Brings Hilton Gold Status and More

For it’s October 2024 Rent Day offer, Bilt is giving members the chance to enjoy elite status at Hilton.

About the Hilton October 2024 Rent Day offer:

On October 1st, Bilt members can claim Hilton Honors Gold Status. This promotional status match will last through December 31st, 2024 — but can be extended or even upgraded if members stay a certain number of qualifying nights at Hilton properties before the expiration.

To retain Hilton Honors Gold Status through the new year and beyond, Bilt members must complete at least 8 qualifying nights. Members with Bilt Blue, Bilt Silver, or Bilt Gold status when they register for this promotion and complete at least 14 qualifying nights before the end of the year will be able to earn Hilton Honors Diamond Status through March 2026. For those with Bilt Platinum status, this qualifying night requirement is lowered to 10.

With Hilton Honors Gold Status, members can enjoy such perks as complimentary upgrades (when available), late checkout, and a daily food and beverage credit. Plus, when status members book stays with points, they can get their fifth night for free.

Bilt and Hilton Honors first began their relationship back in May when the hotel chain became a Bilt transfer partner. As a result, Bilt members can transfer points to Hilton Honors at a rate of 1:1.

Finally, keeping with the Hilton theme, this month’s Rent Free contestant is none other than Paris Hilton. Members can now submit their guesses to play the game for a chance to win free rent and 500,000 Hilton Honors points.

More Rent Day:

This month’s Rent Day will once again bring back Virgin Voyages perks — although this will be the last month that these benefits are offered. Through October 1st, Bilt members can bring a complimentary guest when booking select Virgin Voyages. Plus. exclusive benefits such as a $100 Bar Tab, unlimited Wi-Fi, priority boarding, 2 specialty coffees per day, and more will be offered to these Bilt members.

Elsewhere, those with the Bilt Mastercard will be able to earn double points on all non-rent purchases made on the first. This means that cardholders can earn 6x points on dining, 4x on select travel, and 2x on all other purchases (except rent).

As a reminder:

October marks the first Rent Day where a lowered bonus point cap will be applied. Now, Bilt Mastercard can earn up to 1,000 bonus Bilt Points with the double points offer as opposed to the previous cap of 10,000 points per month.

My thoughts:

In concept, I think that this Rent Day perk is a winner as it’s an easy way for Bilt members to enjoy some status for any autumn adventures they may have planned. As for me personally, though, I already have complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status thanks to my American Express Platinum Card. Moreover, with the savviness of Bilt’s card membership cohort well documented, I suspect I’m not alone in this.

Meanwhile, I’m of course disappointed in the updated Rent Day bonus points cap… even if it probably won’t really impact me since I’ve never used this perk to its full potential. All I ask is that they please bring back Point Quest because, while it didn’t really result in that many points, it sure was fun to play.
