Bilt Rent Day for October 2023 to Introduce Bilt Experiences

With October 2023’s Rent Day coming up, Bilt has announced its promotions for next month — including the ability to book last-minute tickets for some top NFL games.

About Bilt Experiences and Football Sunday:

Bilt has revealed that its October 2023 Rent Day promotion will include the launch of Bilt Experiences. These offers will not only give members a new way to redeem their points but will give them access to exclusive events and, well, experiences.

To start off, Bilt Experiences will give members a chance to claim tickets for three NFL games. Regular stadium seats will be bookable for just 2,500 points, while premium suite experience seats will be available for 10,000 points. Bilt members will be able to redeem points for up to two tickets while supplies last.

The three events featured as part of this promotion include:

  • Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets (Metlife Stadium)
  • Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers (SoFi Stadium)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans (NRG Stadium)

All three games will take place on October 1st with bookings opening on September 27th. These bookings will be released depending on Bilt status tier (which is based on the number of points customers earn in a calendar year). Those with Platinum status will be able to book starting at noon ET. Assuming there is still availability, Gold members will be able to book starting at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Silver members at 2 p.m. and entry-level Blue members at 3 p.m. ET.

In addition to these Bilt Experience offers (which actually arrive before Rent Day), members will be able to earn up to 5x points on eligible sports ticket purchases made on October 1st. This includes purchases from ticket agencies and sports teams. Members can earn a maximum of 10,000 points from this offer. For more details and a list of some ineligible merchants, be sure to check it out in the Bilt app.

Outside of the sports features, Bilt will also be bringing back some of its core Rent Day events. This includes Rent Free — a gameshow challenge where members can enter for a chance to win free rent for the month. While members can play the game to claim their entry, they can also watch comedian Michael Rapaport (Friends, Only Murders in the Building) give it a shot in hopes of scoring free rent for more customers. For even more bonuses, members can also play Point Quest on the 1st.

As always, Bilt Mastercard customers will also be able to earn double points in nearly all categories for Rent Day. On October 1st, they’ll be able to earn a total of 6x points on dining, 4x points on select travel, and 2x points on all other purchases — excluding rent. Also, keep in mind that the 5x Sports Tickets category does not double (technically, the 5x includes one base point, the Rent Day bonus point, and a 3x bonus).

My thoughts:

Considering that this month marks one year since Bilt first introduced Rent Day, I was kind of expecting something big. Then again, I suppose they just celebrated Bilt’s overall anniversary a few months ago, so it may have felt redundant. In any case, while I appreciate the clever theming of this month’s offers, I can’t say this is one I’m likely to be making use of.

Meanwhile, the introduction of Bilt Experiences does seem interesting and this initial offer makes a lot of sense. If I may be nitpicky for a moment, though: Bilt bills the game as “Jets vs. Chiefs” — but, since New York is the home team, it really should be “Chiefs vs. Jets.” This wouldn’t be a big deal except that, if the game really were in Kansas City, I might be able to take advantage of this offer (but, no, I’m not driving to Jersey for it). Of course, only being Blue tier, I probably wouldn’t have been able to snag them anyway.

As always, I’m looking forward to seeing what Bilt does next month for Rent Day and will also be keeping an eye on Bilt Experiences from here on out.

Lessons From a First-Time Home Buyer: The Story of How We Bought a House

In 2015, my wife and I moved to Springfield, Missouri.
