Bilt is adding a new fitness partner to its lineup and delivering new benefits for members.
About the Bilt and Equinox Partnership:
Today, Bilt and the popular, premium fitness brand Equinox announced a new partnership. Moreover, the two are teaming up for a new campaign they’re calling “Bilt for the Committed.” This includes exclusive benefits for Bilt members among other offerings.
First, when Bilt members join Equinox via the Bilt app, they can take advantage of exclusive welcome offers. These include:
- 10,000 Bilt Points
- A complimentary Personal Training session
- A complimentary 50-minute spa service
Plus, for a limited time, members can enter for a chance to win one month of rent or one month of Equinox membership dues. Ten additional winners will earn a complimentary spa service or Personal Training session. Members are able to check in once per day to earn entries through the run of the promotion.
What They’re Saying:
Announcing this partnership, Bilt founder and CEO Ankur Jain said, “The home is the center of how people live and some of the best neighborhoods have always had an Equinox at the heart of them. This partnership is about making world-class wellness a natural part of the connected neighborhood life Bilt is building. Now with Equinox, our members have seamless access to premium fitness and wellness experiences right where they live.”
Additionally, Equinox Group’s Executive Chairman and Managing Partner Harvey Spevak said of working with Bilt, “Equinox has long defined health and wellness as a cornerstone of how people live, perform, and thrive. Through our partnership with Bilt, we’re creating new pathways for members to access the experiences and environments that support a high-performance lifestyle. It’s a natural evolution at the intersection of luxury living and performance.”
My Thoughts:
It’s somewhat interesting that Bilt is partnering with Equinox, seeing as the gym already has a partnership with American Express. In fact, Amex Platinum cardmembers get up to $300 per year in Equinox credits thanks to said partnership. Then again, there’s a lot of overlap when it comes to travel points transfers, so why should this be any different?
Moving on, while this could be a win for Bilt members who are already also Equinox fans, I feel compelled to mention that the gym is far from cheap. For example, a membership to a single location is upwards of $200 a month, while an all-access pass to any Equinox in the U.S. and Canada is $350 a month. So, even with these special Bilt offers, it’s not an easy sell.
