Bilt Offerings Avianca Lifemiles Bonus for February 2025 Rent Day

This Rent Day, Bilt members can earn up to a 100% transfer bonus for Avianca.

About the Rent Day February 2025 transfer bonus:

On February 1st, 2025, Bilt Rewards members can earn bonus miles when turning their Bilt Points into Avianca Lifemiles. While members can earn bonuses of up to 100% (meaning that 1,000 Bilt Points would convert to 2,000 Lifemiles), the size of these bonuses will be based on a customer’s Bilt Status. Here’s how the bonus tiers break down:

  • Blue Status (Entry Level): 20% bonus
  • Silver Status: 40% bonus
  • Gold Status: 50% bonus
  • Platinum Status: 100% bonus

With Avianca Lifemiles, members can not only redeem miles for award flights on Avianca itself but also on Star Alliance partner airlines. Additionally, miles can be used for cabin class upgrades on Avianca. Beyond flying, other Lifemiles redemption options include hotel stays, travel experiences, and more.

As a reminder, Bilt Points must be transferred in increments of 1,000. Additionally, Blue members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 points (all other tiers can transfer as few as 1,000 points).

Other Rent Day features:

In addition to the Avianca Lifemiles bonus offer, some Rent Day staples will return for February 2025. First, as always, Bilt Mastercard customers can earn double points on all non-rent purchases. This equates to 6x points on dining, 4x points on select travel, and 2x on everything else except for rent. However, Rent Day bonus points are capped at a total of 1,000 points.

Elsewhere, members will once again have a chance to earn free rent with the Bilt’s Rent Free game show. This month, the guest is musician J Balvin. Members can now submit their entry guesses ahead of the show’s premiere on the first.

My thoughts:

This is the first Rent Day I’ll be experiencing since falling back to being a Blue member. Alas, my spending didn’t quite reach Silver status last year, so I’m back to the basic level. That means that, if I did want to take advantage of this bonus, I’d be getting half of what I would have previously, which would be a big bummer. Luckily, I don’t have a ton of interest in Lifemiles at the moment, so I’m safe.

That being said, even if you don’t have the status to claim an impressive 100% bonus, this deal might be good to take advantage of — if you have a specific redemption in mind, that is. If you don’t, even though this bonus may seem attractive, it’s usually best to avoid transferring points speculatively. Of course, with a few days to go before Rent Day itself, perhaps it’s worth looking up potential use cases for Lifemiles and deciding whether it’s worth jumping on this Rent Day offer.
