Bilt Offering Two Transfer Bonuses for Rent Day September 2024

Bilt Rewards is offering not one but two travel transfer partner bonus deals for September 2024’s Rent Day.

About the bonuses:

On September 1st, Bilt Rewards members can take advantage of two transfer bonuses.

First, members will be able to earn up to a 100% bonus when transferring points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. However, this bonus is tiered based on Bilt status. Blue (entry-level) members can get a 20% bonus, Silver will get 40%, gold will get 60%, and Platinum members can earn the full 100%. Since Bilt Points typically transfer to Virgin Atlantic at a rate of 1:1, this means that 1,000 Bilt Points would translate to 1,200; 1,400; 1,600; or 2,000 points respectively with this bonus.

In addition to this, members can also earn a transfer bonus points for Avianca LifeMiles. Unlike the Virgin Atlantic deal, this bonus rate is the same across all member tiers: 50%. This means that members can transfer 1,000 Bilt Points to earn 1,500 Avianca LifeMiles.

Other Rent Day September 2024 offers:

Beyond those two transfer bonuses, Bilt is also bringing back a version of a perk from last Rent Day in the form of Virgin Voyages perks. Through September 1st, Bilt members can book select Virgin Voyages and bring a complimentary guest. Additionally, members can enjoy exclusive benefits such as a $100 Bar Tab, unlimited Wi-Fi, priority boarding, 2 specialty coffees per day, and more. However, to take advantage of this offer, members will need to book a Sea Terrace cabin.

Of course, September’s Rent Day will also give Bilt Mastercard customers the chance to earn double points. That equates to 6x points on dining, 4x on select travel, and 2x on all other purchases (except rent) on September 1st. Notably, however, this is the last Rent Day that will give Bilt cardholders the opportunity to earn up to 10,000 bonus points. Starting in October, Rent Day double points bonuses will be capped at just 1,000 points.

My thoughts:

When Bilt announced its new partnership with Walgreens earlier this week, I would have sworn that a Walgreens-related Rent Day deal would have been featured this month. Instead, we got two transfer bonuses — which I’m guessing most members will likely prefer. That said, these particular bonuses do seem a bit lower than normal for those who aren’t Platinum members. For example, July’s transfer bonuses for Alaska were 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% compared to 20%, 40%, 60%, and 100% for Virgin Atlantic this time around. Meanwhile, the 50% deal for Avianca may be the lowest across-the-board bonus we’ve seen so far.

All in all, though, these transfer bonuses are still a great opportunity for members to get more value from their Bilt Points. But, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that the peak of Bilt’s Rent Day perks has passed.
