Bilt Members to Vote on March 2024 Rent Day Benefit

In honor of March Madness, Bilt has created a Rent Day benefit bracket and is letting members vote for this month’s perk.

About the March Rent Day benefit bracket:

For March 2024’s Rent Day, Bilt is introducing its Bilt Bracket. This bracket consists of 16 sweet offers that members can vote on —with one winning perk going into effect on March 1st.

The 16 competing benefits include:

  • 15x on hotels booked through the Bilt Travel Portal
  • Claim a free SoulCycle class
  • Triple the number of Rent Free winners
  • 1,000 points for linking a credit or debit card to your Bilt account
  • 15x at Bilt Dining restaurants
  • 15x on activities booked via the Bilt Travel Portal
  • Triple points on correct Point Quest answers
  • 10x on all Bilt Neighborhood Rewards spend
  • 10x at gas stations with the Bilt Mastercard
  • 5x at grocery stores with the Bilt Mastercard
  • 15x on Lyft Rideshare
  • Extra 20,000 points towards down payment on a home
  • 50% off the Bilt Collection
  • Redeem points on rent and get an extra 1,000 points
  • 15x on car rentals booked through the Bilt Travel Portal
  • 20x on Soulcycle classes booked through the Bilt app

The first round of voting is taking place today (February 26th). Eight winners from today’s round will move on to Round 2 tomorrow, followed by Round 3 — the Final Four — on February 28th and the championship round on Leap Day. Bilt will reveal the winning benefit, which will be available for Bilt Members on March 1st.

UPDATE: A winner has been crowned. On March 1st, Bilt Members will be able to receive 1,000 points when they link a new credit or debit card to their account. Better year, this offer is valid for up to 2,000 points. However, only cards that have not previously been linked will be eligible.

March Madness experiences:

In addition to the bracket-themed benefit, Bilt is also giving members a chance to book special March Madness experiences. This includes events in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Boston, Detroit, and Dallas during various rounds of the NCAA Tournament. These experiences will be available to book starting March 1st at noon Eastern. Packages include a game ticket, on-site pregame party, tailgate fare, and more.

Prices for these bookings vary by location and seating option but start at 15,000 Bilt Point or $200 per ticket. The most expensive package (Premium View in Phoenix for the Finals) is 45,000 Points or $550 per ticket.

Other Rent Day offers:

Beyond the special events and to-be-determined benefit, March 2024 will see the return of Bilt’s regular Rent Day offerings. These include the Rent Free gameshow where members can enter for a chance to win free rent, PointQuest where members can score bonus points, and more. Plus, as usual, Bilt Mastercard customers can earn double points on all non-rent purchases made on the 1st. This means 6x points on dining, 4x points on select travel, and 2x points on everything else (except for rent).

My thoughts:

While I think the idea of doing a voting bracket for March’s Rent Day benefit is a fun one, I really hope that my fellow members don’t screw this up. For example, those of us who don’t live in big cities can’t benefit at all from the 15x on Bilt Dining option — and the odds of winning Rent Free are incredibly slim even if they are tripled. Options such as getting 5x on grocery spending, 15x on Bilt Travel bookings, or even the 1,000 points for linking a credit card sound way better to me [Note: now that the lattermost deal has won, I’m quite happy]. Also, it is kind of funny how Bilt can offer more lucrative rewards such as 20,000 bonus points (worth $300) toward buying a home knowing that most of their users will vote it down since it doesn’t apply to them. Sure enough, that option is currently getting trounced by 15x on Lyft rides.

Overall, March 2024’s Rent Day is easily one of the most creative — although we’ll need to wait to see how it shakes out to determine whether it’s one of the best or not.

2024 SoFi Checking and Savings Review

Ever since I started taking an interest in the FinTech sector, one company whose name I’ve seen pop up over and over again is SoFi.
