Bilt Boasts Avianca Transfer Bonus for August 2025 Rent Day

In a bit of Bilt deja vu, August’s Rent Day will feature a transfer bonus for Avianca Lifemiles.

About the Avianca Lifemiles Transfer Bonus:

On August 1st, Bilt Rewards members can earn a transfer bonus when moving their Bilt Points to Avianca’s Lifemiles program. While this bonus is up to 100%, as we’ve seen with several past promotions, this offer is tiered based on Bilt Elite Status. Here’s how the bonus levels break down:

  • Blue Status (Entry Level): 20% bonus
  • Silver Status: 40% bonus
  • Gold Status: 60% bonus
  • Platinum Status: 100% bonus

Typically, Bilt Points transfer to Avianca Lifemiles at a rate of 1:1 (1,000 Bilt Points = Avianca Lifemiles). This means that the rate for this offer will increase to 1:1.2, 1:1.4, 1:1.6, or 1:2 depending on your Bilt status. For example, a Bilt Mastercard customers with base status could transfer 2,000 Bilt Points to receive 2,400 Avianca Lifemiles. As a reminder, Bilt Points must be transferred in increments of 1,000, and Blue members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 points (all other tiers can transfer as few as 1,000 points).

Notably, Lifemiles can not only be used for flights on Avianca but, with Avianca being a Star Alliance member, miles can also be used for bookings on partner airlines. Bilt also notes that miles can be used towards upgrades on Avianca and even hotel bookings, rental cars, and more via the Lifemiles booking portal.

As mentioned, a similar bonus was previously offered earlier this year for February’s Rent Day. However, for Gold members, this version is slightly better as the bonus has increased to 60% versus 50% last time.

More August 2025 Rent Day Features:

While the transfer bonus may be the star of the show on Rent Day, Bilt is bringing back several other staples for August 2025. This includes their Rent Free game show, where members have a chance to win free rent. Joining the show this month is actor Kel Mitchel — best known for his roles on Nickelodeon’s All That, Kenan & Kel, and the film Good Burger.

Of course, Bilt Mastercard customers can also earn double points on all non-rent purchases on August 1st. This equates to 6x on dining, 4x on select travel, and 2x on all other purchases except for rent. However, there is a cap of 1,000 bonus points per Rent Day.

My Thoughts:

I’m a little surprised that Bilt is repeating this bonus after just six months — but it’s better than nothing! In fact, Gold members should be pleased that this version is an improvement over February’s deal. Oddly, though, I’m most excited to watch Rent Free this month as Kel holds a special place in my heart.

If you do want to take advantage of this offer, be sure to have your Lifemiles number ready and consider linking your account before Rent Day itself. Also, it’s advised that you have a redemption in mind before transferring points, so perhaps spend the next few days looking up options so you’re ready to make your transfer on August 1st.
