Bilt Announces Avios Transfer Bonus for April 2025 Rent Day
For April 2025’s Rent Day, Bilt is offering a transfer bonus for not one, not two, but three airlines.
About the Avios Transfer Bonus:
On April 1st, Bilt members can earn up to a 100% bonus when transferring points to three airline programs that use the Avios currency. Those airlines are Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia Airlines.
While this bonus is “up to 100%,” the actual rate offer rate will depend on the customer’s Bilt Elite Status. Here’s a look at the breakdown:
- Blue (entry level): 50% bonus
- Silver: 60% bonus
- Gold: 75% bonus
- Platinum: 100% bonus
Since Bilt Points typically transfer at a rate of 1:1, this means that top-tier status customers can increase that to as much as 2:1 with this offer. That would mean that 1,000 Bilt Points converts to 2,000 Avios points when transferred to Aer Lingus AerClub, British Airways Executive Club, or Iberia Plus.
As a reminder, Bilt Points must be transferred in denominations of 1,000 points. Additionally, Blue-level members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 points.
More Rent Day April 2025 Offerings:
Along with this transfer bonus, Bilt is bringing back many of its Rent Day features for April. This includes another edition of its Rent Free game show that gives members a chance to win free rent. For this month’s installment, comedian Chris Distefano joins Bilt founder Ankur Jain to play the game and help give more members a chance to win.
Meanwhile, Rent Day also means that Bilt Mastercard customers can earn double points on nearly all purchases. Specifically, with this offer, cardholders can earn 6x points on dining, 4x on select travel, and 2x on all other purchases (except rent) on April 1st. Note that this double-point offer is capped at 1,000 total bonus points per Rent Day.
My Thoughts:
Before I get to the matter at hand, I do want to mention that, in an email to members, Bilt also revealed plans for a new feature, writing, “For select members, when you shop at national retailers like Walmart, you’ll automatically start seeing the ability to redeem Bilt Points directly at checkout for instant savings. We’ll be expanding this to more members and retailers in the coming weeks!” While that sounds like an interesting option, I’m guessing that the redemption rate won’t be very attractive. Nevertheless, I look forward to following up.
As for the April Rent Day transfer bonus, this could definitely be lucrative for top-tier Bilt members who can double the number of Avios points they receive. Meanwhile, regular members like myself aren’t seeing rates quite as generous as they once were, but could still be useful.
With all of the changes happening at Bilt, it’s great to see that Rent Day is mostly still going strong.
