Barclays and Frontier Bring New Intro Offer to Co-Branded Card

With a hopeful return to the skies on the horizon, another airline co-branded card has unveiled a newly enhanced offer. For the first time, the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard is currently waiving the annual fee for the first year. This amounts to a $79 savings, with that annual fee recurring for subsequent cardholder years. On top of that, the card is retaining its other welcome bonus, enabling new cardholders to earn 50,000 miles when they make $500 in purchases on the card within their first 90 days.

Beyond this “no annual fee for the first year” and 50,000 mile bonus offer, the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard includes plenty of other perks for fans of the discount air carrier. First, cardholders can earn 5x miles on eligible purchases made through FlyFrontier.com. Additionally, the card earns 3x miles on purchases at restaurants (including bars and fast food restaurants). All other purchases made with the card will earn 1x miles per dollar spent.

What’s more, each dollar spent on the card will earn customers one Qualifying Mile toward earning elite status. Currently, the levels of Elite Status include Elite 20k (20,000 Qualifying Miles or 25 flight segments), Elite 50k (50,000 Qualifying Miles or 50 flight segments), and Elite 100k (100,000 Qualifying Miles or 100 flight segments). With Elite Status, flyers can earn such perks as a complimentary carry-on, Family Pooling for miles, free advanced seat assignment, and much more.

Turning back to the card itself, one of the biggest benefits of the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard is the $100 flight voucher cardholders can earn every year on their account anniversary, provided that they spent at least $2,500 or more in net purchases on the card within the prior year. Notably, these vouchers more than offset the card’s $79 annual fee, but must be redeemed within 180 days of being issued. Meanwhile, cardholders can enjoy priority boarding when flying Frontier, have their award redemption fee waived when booking with miles, and more. Plus, the card has no foreign transaction fees.

Ultimately, this new offer for the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard could make it the right time for discount flyers to add the card to their wallet. Not only will the waived first-year annual fee make it easy to try out but the opportunity to earn a $100 flight credit each cardholder year could also make this a money-maker in the long term. Plus, when used regularly, the card could also provide a path to Frontier Elite Status. Therefore, whether you’re planning a summer vacation, winter getaway, or are just a frequent Frontier flyer, now may be the time to apply for the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard.

PayPal Debit Card Review: Earn Stackable 5% Cash Back

In recent weeks, PayPal debuted an updated debit card product (perhaps you've seen the incessant Will Ferrell commercials for it during football games?).
