Bank of America Bringing Back More Rewards Day for Fourth Year
Bank of America is set to celebrate another More Rewards Day next month.
About More Rewards Day 2025:
For the fourth consecutive year, Bank of America will offer bonus rewards to cardholders as part of a one-day celebration. This year’s More Rewards Day will be held on November 6th.
During More Rewards Day 2025, those with Bank of America-issued cards can earn bonus cashback, points, or miles on all purchases. Specifically, customers will earn an additional 2% cashback or 2x points/miles. As for the non-rewards BankAmericard, cardholders will earn 2% back on eligible More Rewards Day purchases in the form of a statement credit.
What’s more, this offer applies to Bank of America’s own line-up of rewards cards as well as its co-branded offerings. Among the co-branded cards impacted are:
- Atmos Rewards Ascent (Formerly Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card)
- Atmos Rewards Summit
- Royal Caribbean
- Celebrity Cruises
- Norwegian Cruise Line
- Beaches
- Sandals
- Free Spirit
- Allegiant Allways Rewards
- Air France KLM
Of note, Bank of America’s More Rewards Day operates in Eastern Time, meaning eligible purchases must be made before midnight ET. Additionally, bonuses will only apply to the first $2,500 in purchases. This means that those with cashback cards can earn up to $50 from this promotion, while those with other rewards cards can earn up to 5,000 extra points/miles. Lastly, eligible cardholders do not need to activate or opt into this offer. Instead, they’ll automatically be able to earn the bonus on November 6th when they use their BofA-issued card.
My Thoughts:
Even though I don’t personally have any Bank of America cards, I’m extremely glad to see this offer return for another year. To me, it’s a brilliant marketing move that makes the bank look generous while also highlighting its line-up of co-brand partners.
That said, at the end of the day, a $50 max benefit isn’t a ton. Still, I’m not one to complain about bonus funds.
Of course, BofA is also smart about the timing of More Rewards Day. While it does arrive weeks before Black Friday and the official start of the holiday retail season, surely cardholders can benefit from doing a bit of early shopping in a bid to reach that $2,500 maximum spending reward limit.
Lastly, one of the most interesting use cases for this year’s More Rewards Day comes from the recently-launched Atmos Rewards Summit card. With the 2x bonus, that means that cardholders will not only be able to earn 5x points on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines purchases but can also earn 5x on dining and 5x on foreign transactions. Thus, any Summit customers who happen to be traveling overseas next month could take advantage of this unique perk (although they’ll also need to mind the time difference).
