Perks related to photo, auto, and money center services are now available to Walmart+ members.
About the Latest Walmart+ Benefits:
Recently, Walmart added some new benefits to its Walmart+ membership.
First, members can enjoy 25 free 4×6 prints every month. To use this perk, customers can use the Walmart app to pull up their Walmart+ benefits page and use the provided barcode at checkout.
Next, customers can now save on select Walmart Money Center services. Eligible transactions include check cashing, money orders, money transfer sends, bill payments, and eCash loading. Members can choose a qualifying fee-free money service once per quarter (every three months) and can redeem this offer by showing the associate the barcode generated in the Walmart app.
Finally, Walmart Auto Care Centers are offering complimentary flat tire repair to Walmart+ members, saving them $15. This perk is valid on qualified flat tires that are able to be repaired. Members can redeem this offer by using the Walmart app to scan the register QR code before making a payment.
These new in-store benefits join several existing perks included with a Walmart+ membership. Customers can get free delivery on orders over $35 as well as free next-day or two-day shipping on any size order from Walmart.com. Walmart+ members can also choose between a complimentary Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium streaming subscription. Other perks include saving 10¢ per gallon at Walmart, Exxon, Mobil, and Murphy stations, earning up to 10% Walmart Cash on travel booked via Walmart+ Travel, access to Walmart’s Scan & go feature, and more.
Currently, a regular Walmart+ membership costs $98 per year. However, new customers can claim a 30 day trail for $1.
My Thoughts:
Even as a Walmart+ member, I didn’t immediately notice this update — likely because Walmart’s been making bigger news with its long-requested embrace of tap-to-pay. But, now that I have become aware, I’m pretty excited about one perk in particular: the free photo prints.
When I came home from a recent trip, I found that my wife had printed off some photos of our dog and created displays of them in my office. Now that we can print 25 4×6 photos each month, my Camera Roll is about to come to life. Heck, we might end up replacing the wallpaper in our bathroom with dog photos (only half kidding).
Jokes aside, as I’ve said before, it’s impressive how Walmart continues to add features to its Walmart+ membership without raising the price. Also, remember that, if you have an American Express Platinum Card, you can claim a free membership — so make sure to do that and take advantage of these latest benefits.
