WHOOP Partners with Chase for Exclusive Cardholder Benefits

Select Chase customers can now save on WHOOP purchases thanks to a new partnership.

About the WHOOP-Chase Sapphire Offer:

The fitness tracking band WHOOP has announced a partnership with Chase that will result in new member benefits. Specifically, Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Preferred customers can now claim cashback deals from WHOOP.

Starting with the Chase Sapphire Reserve, cardmembers can now get up to $359 back when spending at least $359 at WHOOP using their card. That’s enough to cover one year of a WHOOP Life annual membership. This membership tier also includes a WHOOP MG (medical grade) device.

Meanwhile, those with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card can get up to $100 cashback on any WHOOP annual membership, with a minimum spending requirement of $149. The lowest-priced annual membership is WHOOP One, which costs $149 per year and comes with a certified pre-owned WHOOP 4.0 device.

To claim these offers, eligible cardholders must first activate the deal in their Chase account. These offers can be redeemed through May 12, 2026. WHOOP does note that those with existing WHOOP memberships can either gift an annual membership using this deal or can redeem it towards their membership renewal if their account renews during the offer period.

The recently-refreshed Chase Sapphire Reserve card currently carries an annual fee of $795 per year, while the Chase Sapphire Preferred card has a $95 annual fee.

What They’re Saying:

Discussing this partnership with Case, WHOOP founder and CEO Will Ahmed said, “This offer is about meeting people where they are and giving them better tools to perform at their best. At WHOOP, we believe understanding your body is the foundation for better decisions — whether that’s how you train, recover, sleep, or manage stress. Working with Chase Sapphire allows us to bring WHOOP to a broader audience that values health, performance, longevity, and smarter living.”

My Thoughts:

As an American Express Platinum cardholder, I’m inclined to point out that card has a $200 per year credit for Oura Ring. However, that offer is only intended to be used for the devices themselves and not the subscription price. Nevertheless, I can’t help but think that this WHOOP-Chase partnership has at least something to do with that competition.

Regardless, for Chase Sapphire Reserve customers who have even a passing interest in WHOOP, I think this is a no-brainer, as you’ll get the device and a free year of service to try it out. The hope would be that this partnership renews… but, if not, you can then decide if it’s worth paying out of pocket for. Meanwhile, the decision is a bit harder for Chase Sapphire Preferred customers since the discount isn’t as significant. But, if you were going to purchase WHOOP anyway and happen to have a Preferred card, then this is an easy win.

Lastly, if I were a current WHOOP customer and a Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholder, I’d be pretty annoyed that this offer is only valid for a few months. If you’re lucky enough to have your renewal hit during that window, awesome — but, if not… Sorry.

Lessons From a First-Time Home Buyer: The Good and Bad of Door-to-Door Solicitors

When we first moved into our home, I noted that one of my least favorite things about living in a house (as compared to an access-controlled apartment building) was the ability for solicitors and other strangers to knock on our door. To be fair, this hasn't happened with too much frequency — and there is a range of just how obnoxious they are. Well, recently, we had two very different...

2025 SoFi Checking and Savings Review

Ever since I started taking an interest in the FinTech sector, one company whose name I’ve seen pop up over and over again is SoFi. That was later sent into overdrive as the company has not only become a household name thanks to its stadium naming rights deal but also because of the company’s continued product expansions. The most interesting development in my mind is SoFi’s acquisition of Golden Pacific...
