Mr. Wonderful’s Beanstox App Adds AI-Powered CashTrax Feature

An investment app co-owned by Kevin O’ Leary (A.K.A. Mr. Wonderful) has introduced a new tool to help customers make smart money decisions.

About Beastox’s CashTax:

Beanstox, an app chaired and co-owned by Shark Tank‘s Kevin O’Leary, is expanding its offerings. Now, customers can access CashTax — an AI-powered money sidekick.

Using CashTax, users can connect their bank accounts and credit cards in order to gain spending insights and recommendations. According to Beanstox, the assistant can automatically track spending and identify spending patterns. Then, it can present customers with personalized savings ideas.

Some examples cited by Beanstox include presenting users with how much they could save by reducing food deliveries or canceling a subscription. Similarly, CashTax may inform users that their insurance premiums are above average and suggest they obtain new quotes.

Currently, access to CashTax is available to Beanstock Premium clients.

More on Beanstox:

Beanstox is an investing platform that aims to combine stock trading features with personal finance educational materials. This Money School content covers long-term investing among other financial literacy topics.

Currently, Beanstox offers two paid plans: Plus and Premium. Beanstox Plus comes at a cost of $5 a month and includes a Wealth Builder account and access to select investing options. Meanwhile, the Premium account adds support for Traditional and Roth IRAs as well as gold and Bitcoin-backed ETF access (and now the CashTrax tool). This plan is available for $10 per month.

What They’re Saying:

Commenting on the launch of CashTrax, O’Leary stated, “Most people don’t fail at money because they’re irresponsible; they fail because the tools have been too complicated. CashTrax changes that. It gives everyday consumers the clarity, automation and coaching they need to finally take control of their cash.”

The Shark added, “We built Beanstox to make investing simple. CashTrax makes budgeting and saving simple. We want millions of people to have an easy way to build their own financial security and freedom, using AI to deliver great ways to save.”

My Thoughts:

Personally, I like the idea of combining an investment platform with financial education resources. That said, I can’t really speak to the quality of the Beanstox platform, having not used it (although I’m skeptical about paying for it since there are plenty of free options). And, as for the CashTrax AI tool, it sounds… less than remarkable. Maybe I’m wrong, but it sounds fairly generic.

Nevertheless, I sincerely hope that CashTrax can help current Beanstox users to make better financial choices. If it can do so, then my criticisms are moot.
