Bilt Unwraps Avios Transfer Bonus for December 2025 Rent Day

With only a few Rent Days left before the big Bilt 2.0 launch, the company has revealed special offers for December 1st. — including another transfer bonus as well as a gift card redemption boost.

About the Avios Transfer Bonus:

On December 1st, Bilt Rewards members can earn a transfer bonus on not one, not two, but three different airline partners. British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Iberia — all of which utilize the Avios currency — are featured for this month’s offer, which will allow members to earn a bonus of up to 100%.

As usual, the size of the Avios transfer bonus will depend on the member’s Bilt status, with the lowest bonus coming in at 50%. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • Blue (entry status): 50% bonus
  • Silver: 60% bonus
  • Gold: 75% bonus
  • Platinum: 100% bonus

With all three Avios programs typically transferring at a rate of 1:1, these bonuses mean that members can see rates between 1:1.5 to 1:2 (1,000 Bilt Points to 1,500 or 2,000 Avios, respectively). While Silver status members and above can transfer points in increments of 1,000, those with the base Blue status will need to transfer at least 2,000 Bilt Points.

More December 2025 Rent Day Features:

Leading up to Rent Day, Bilt is offering enhanced redemption rates on gift cards from select brands. Current options include Apple, Macy’s, and Nordstrom, while additional brands are expected to join the lineup each day leading up to December 1st. Once again, the size of the redemption bonus will vary by status:

  • Blue (entry status): 25% bonus
  • Silver: 50% bonus
  • Gold: 75% bonus
  • Platinum: 100% bonus

Elsewhere, on Rent Day itself, Bilt Mastercard customers can earn double points on all non-rent purchases. This equates to 6x points on dining, 4x on select travel bookings, and 2x on all other purchases except rent. Rent Day “Double Points” are capped at 1,000 bonus points.

My Thoughts:

Starting with the pre-Rent Day gift card offers, while I appreciate the idea here, it still might not be a good deal depending on your Bilt Status. Typically, gift card redemptions value Bilt Points at 0.7¢ each. So, with the 25% bonus Blue members earn, that’s still only .875¢ per point. You’d need to be at least a Silver status member to clear the 1¢ per point threshold I’d recommend — and even that is below what you’d get from the Bilt Travel portal. In other words, while this could be a convenient option for the holiday season, those who want to maximize their point value will want to skip.

As for the Avios bonus, as always, it’s a good idea to price out the actual redemption and have one in mind before transferring points. Of course, if you have higher Bilt status, this deal is more attractive. But, even if you do just have Blue, if you find a good redemption deal, then the 25% bonus is all gravy!

And speaking of gravy, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
