Amazon Offering Increased Welcome Bonus for Prime Visa Card

Amazon Prime members looking to save on their holiday shopping this year may be interested in a new offer on the Prime Visa.

About the Enhanced Prime Visa Card Offer:

For a limited time, Amazon Prime customers can claim an enhanced bonus when they open a new Prime Visa card. Currently, new cardholders can earn a $250 Amazon gift card instantly upon approval. This offer will be available through December 8th.

Meanwhile, those who may not qualify for the Prime Visa can opt for the Prime Store Card instead. That said, although new Prime Store Card customers can currently earn an $80 gift card, this will increase to a $100 gift card from November 27th throug December 1st.

Neither the Prime Visa nor the Prime Store Card carry an annual fee. However, an eligible Prime membership is required for either option.

Of course, these bonus offers come ahead of the big Black Friday shopping holiday. With that in mind, as an extra perk, Prime Visa and Prime Store Card customers can earn an additional 2% back (for a total of 7% back) on Amazon purchases when they shop between November 27th and December 2nd and select the No-Rush Delivery option.

More on the Prime Credit Cards:

With the Prime Visa, cardholders can earn unlimited 5% back on Amazon purchases. Moreover, this 5% rate applies to Whole Foods purchases as well (in store or online). Members can also take advantage of Prime Card Bonus deals to earn 10% back or more on select purchases.

Elsewhere, the Prime Visa also offers 5% back on Chase Travel bookings, 2% back on dining, 2% back on gas, and 2% back on local transit (as well as rideshare). All other purchases made with the card earn 1% back.

As for the Prime Store Card, it also offers 5% back on Amazon purchases. Cardholders can also use an In-Store Code to earn 5% back at Whole Foods. Beyond that, since it is a store card, the other cashback categories do not apply.

My Thoughts:

Earning a $250 gift card with no minimum spend on a no-annual-fee card is a pretty great deal! That said, while there is technically no annual fee, the fact that you do need to have Prime (which retails for $139) does complicate things if you’re not already a member.

On that note, if you’re not a Prime member or just aren’t sure about one of these cards, there is another option for earning 5% back on Amazon this holiday shopping season. Through December 31st, the Discover It card is offering 5% back on Amazon purchases (up to $1,500 in category spending for the quarter). Plus, the It card offers a unique bonus as it doubles all of the cashback you earn during your first year, meaning you can effectively earn 10% back on Amazon through the end of the year. That said, even if you max out this bonus, that’s $150 for $1,500 in spending versus $250 with no spending required.

2025 SoFi Checking and Savings Review

Ever since I started taking an interest in the FinTech sector, one company whose name I’ve seen pop up over and over again is SoFi. That was later sent into overdrive as the company has not only become a household name thanks to its stadium naming rights deal but also because of the company’s continued product expansions. The most interesting development in my mind is SoFi’s acquisition of Golden Pacific...
