Rakuten Reveals 10 Days of Big Deals Starting November 1st

Next month, Rakuten users can earn increased cashback (or American Express Membership Rewards points) from 10 big brands over the course of 10 days.

About Rakuten’s Holiday Big Deal Reveal:

The popular cashback shopping portal Rakuten has made its Holiday Big Deal Reveal for 2025. From November 1st through November 10th, the platform will be rolling out a special offer each day, earning customers between 12% and 23% back on eligible purchases.

The calendar of deals looks like this:

  • November 1st: Ulta – 20%
  • November 2nd: QVC – 15%
  • November 3rd: LG – 22%
  • November 4th: Expedia hotel stays – 12%
  • November 5th: Gap – 18%
  • November 6th: Dermstore – 23%
  • November 7th: Lands’ End – 20%
  • November 8th: Lululemon – 15%
  • November 9th: Temu – 21%
  • November 10th: Adidas – 20%

Beyond these deals, which are available to all users, those with the recently-launched Rakuten American Express Card can get even bigger cashback rates. For each of the above offers (with the exception of Lululemon on November 8th, which will be replaced with a to-be-announced deal), cardmembers can earn 30% cashback. However, this included the 4% cashback that the card already offers. In turn, purchases will count toward the card’s $7,000 per calendar year cap on Rakuten purchases.

The Basics of Rakuten:

With Rakuten, customers can earn cashback on purchases from numerous brands when shopping via Rakuten’s links. Alternatively, users with eligible American Express cards can opt to earn Membership Rewards Points instead of cashback.

When qualifying purchases are made, users can track the status of their cashback. Then, Rakuten pays out earnings on a quarterly basis — either in the form of a “Big Fat Check” or via PayPal.

Currently, new Rakuten customers can earn a $50 bonus when they join the site and make their first eligible purchase of $50 or more within 90 days. These bonus funds will be paid out within 15 days of the qualifying purchase, while subsequent earnings will follow the quarterly schedule.

My Thoughts:

While this may not be the absolute best line-up of retailers, I think there are some good deals here. That’s especially true for those with the Rakuten American Express Card, thanks to those 30% deals. And while the platform does warn that these purchases will count toward your reward cap, since that limit is per calendar year and 2025 is nearing its end, it may be a moot concern.

It is also interesting to me that Lululemon is the brand seemingly exempted from the Rakuten Amex bonus. My only guess as to why this might be involves the brand’s existing partnership with Amex, which resulted in a $75 quarterly credit on the American Express Platinum. On that note, November 8th will likely be a very good day to redeem that $75 credit for Q4.
