Bilt Introducing Bilt Cash Status Perk Feature in 2026
Next year, Bilt is changing up its status tier offerings with a new feature: Bilt Cash.
About Bilt Cash:
Soon, Bilt members will have the ability to earn a new type of currency. Bilt Cash will join Bilt Points starting next year and will be featured as part of the platform’s elite status program.
As the name implies, Bilt Cash will be a dollar-for-dollar currency that members will be able to redeem via the Bilt Travel portal, Neighborhood Dining (with mobile checkout), fitness class bookings, Home Delivery orders, and more. For example, a customer can utilize $25 in Bilt Cash for $25 off a Bilt Travel booking. Alternatively, Bilt plans to offer the ability to redeem Bilt Cash for status upgrades, such as claiming an increased transfer bonus on Rent Day or accessing the recently-launched Home Away from Home hotel booking program.
For every 25,000 Bilt Points that members earn, they’ll get $50 in Bilt Cash. These funds will then immediately be available for use.
This new Bilt Cash system will replace the existing Milestone Rewards offered by Bilt. However, with Bilt Cash launching on January 1st, members can still redeem any Milestone Rewards by the end of the year.
More Bilt News:
The Bilt Cash announcement comes hot on the heels of Bilt announcing two other expansions of its ecosystem. Earlier this week, the platform announced a partnership with Metropolis Parking. Prior to that, the app introduced Bilt Delivery powered by GoPuff.
Meanwhile, these updates come ahead of the Bilt 2.0 debut. Next year, the Bilt Mastercard will not only be moving to a new issuer but will also be adding two new versions of the card that will join the no annual fee edition in the lineup. Bilt is also working with United Wholesale Mortgage to bring mortgage payment rewards to the service sometime next year.
My Thoughts:
Bilt continues to be on a tear. Even as I wait for official word about Bilt Points possibly being earned via Rakuten, they’ve rolled out or teased several new additions in the past month. Of those, I’d rank this Bilt Cash reveal pretty high — even if I don’t expect to actually earn any (at least not until mortgage payment rewards are wide enough to include me). Personally, I think this will be a nice upgrade over the current milestone rewards and think that the idea of buying upgraded transfer bonuses is inspired. Of course, that will add more math to the mix, but I’m sure the hardcore points and miles crew will be salivating over the possibilities.
