Bilt Brings Virgin Red Transfer Bonus to September 2025 Rent Day

Bilt and Virgin are teaming up once again to deliver a transfer bonus to members for September 2025’s Rent Day.

About the Virgin Red Transfer Bonus:

On September 1st, Bilt Rewards members can earn a bonus when transferring points to Virgin Red. Members will earn between a 40% and 100% bonus, meaning that the regular 1:1 transfer rate will increase to a minimum of 1:1.4 or as high as 1:2 during this promotion.

Although Bilt’s transfer bonuses are typically tiered based on Bilt Status, this particular deal will instead utilize targeted offers. Bilt members are advised to check their accounts to see what their specific transfer bonus will be.

As a reminder, Bilt Points can be transferred to Virgin Red in increments of 1,000. Additionally, those with Bilt Blue status (the entry level status) must transfer a mimimum of 2,000 points.

With Virgin Points, travelers can book Virgin Atlantic flights, Virgin Voyages, stays at Virgin Hotels, and more. Additionally, the Virgin Red program offers a variety of specialty experiences, gift cards, dining adventures, and wines. Members can even donate their points to worthy causes thanks to partnerships Virgin maintains with numerous non-profit organizations.

More Bilt Rewards September 2025 Rent Day Offers:

In addition to the transfer bonus, Bilt is bringing other special offers to members next month. Starting August 28th at noon Eastern, members can purchase tickets to Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza Festival in New York. This event will be held on September 13th and offer all-you-can-eat pizza from more than 40 neighborhood pizzerias. Plus, Bilt members who book as part of this offer will enjoy a complimentary drink token, a live DJ at the Bilt Bar, and an exclusive Pasta Shop by Lucali. Tickets can be purchased for one of two time slots (12:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.) and cost 10,000 Bilt Points or $150 per person.

Elsewhere, Bilt will host an intimate 60-minute concert with Leon Bridges on October 7th in Fort Worth, Texas. Tickets will include access to the special acoustic performance and a complimentary first drink. Bookings will also open August 28th at noon Eastern and will cost 25,000 Bilt Points or $400 per person. However, for each ticket, a $50 donation will be made to The Big Good foundation.

Of course, as always, Bilt Mastercard customers can also earn double points on September 1st. That means 6x points on dining, 4x on select travel, and 2x on all other purchases — except for rent. Bonus points are capped at 1,000.

My Thoughts:

First, I want to say that following the nomenclature associated with Virgin is kind of a nightmare. So, to be clear, Virgin Points are part of the Virgin Red program — and Virgin Points can be transferred to a Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account that’s linked to a Virgin Red account. Does that make sense?

Second, this isn’t the first time Bilt has taken a targeted and tailored approach to these transfer bonuses, but I’m still not sure what to think of them. Realistically, as a base status member anyway, I’m going to get the minimum offer regardless. Nevertheless, I am curious about the criteria they consider.

Lastly, given the numerous uses for Virgin Points, I do think that this is a good transfer bonus option overall. So, with a few days to go before the first, it may be worth looking into your options, seeing what Bilt’s targeted bonus is for you, and deciding if you want to take advantage of this month’s Rent Day deal.
