Best-Ever Bonuses Back for Two Marriott Bonvoy Credit Cards

As the summer travel season rolls on, Marriott Bonvoy and Amex are bringing back enhanced welcome bonuses for their Bevy and Brilliant cards.

About the Limited-Time Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card Bonuses:

For a limited time, new Marriott Bonvoy Bevy and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant cardholders can claim each card’s best-ever bonus offer. These deals were last available this spring but have returned through the end of summer.

First, new Marriott Bonvoy Bevy cardholders can earn 155,000 bonus Bonvoy points after making $5,000 in purchases with the card in their first six months. Meanwhile, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card is offering new cardholders 185,000 bonus points after spending $6,000 on the card within their first six months from account opening. For context, the standard bonuses for these cards are 85,000 points and 95,000 points, respectively.

Currently, these enhanced offers are set to expire on September 24th, 2025.

More about the Marriott Bonvy Bevy and Brilliant Cards:

With an annual fee of $250, the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy American Express Card is the hotel brand’s mid-tier option. In terms of rewards, the Bevy earns 6x Marriott Bonvoy points on eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels. It also earns 4x points at restaurants worldwide and 4x at U.S. Supermarkets — although this 4x rate has a cap of $15,000 in combined restaurant and supermarket spending per calendar year. All other purchases (including restaurant and supermarket purchases beyond that cap) will earn 2x points.

As you’d expect, the Bevy card also packs in some key perks for cardholders. For one, the card included complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold status. On top of that, cardmembers earn 15 Elite Night Credits, allowing them to pursue even higher Elite status. Elsewhere, cardholders will earn an extra 1,000 bonus points per paid eligible stay when they book directly with Marriott. Lastly, those who spend at least $15,000 on their Bevy card within a calendar year can earn a Free Night Award, redeemable for up to 50,000 points.

Meanwhile, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card is a premium card, carrying a $650 annual fee. However, that fee can be offset with featured credits and perks.

First, cardmembers can enjoy up to $300 (up to $25 per month) in statement credits for eligible purchases at restaurants worldwide. Additionally, Brilliant customers can earn up to a $100 property credit for qualifying charges at The Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis properties (when you book direct using a special rate for a two-night minimum stay and use your card). Cardholders also receive one Free Night Award worth up to 85,000 points every renewal year.

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card also includes complimentary Platinum Elite status and 25 Elite Night Credits. In terms of the rewards, the Brilliant also earns 6x points on eligible Marriott Bonvoy hotel purchases plus 3x at restaurants worldwide (with no cap) and 3x on flights booked directly with airlines. All other purchases earn 2x points.

My Thoughts:

Admittedly, it hasn’t been terribly long since Marriott Bonvoy and Amex offered these same bonuses. Nevertheless, if you’re a Marriott loyalist, this could be a good opportunity to pick up either one of these cards. As a reminder, if you do want to take advantage of this deal, be sure to apply before September 24th, 2025.
