Visa Introduces New Offers for Small Business Customers

For entrepreneurs, small business credit cards may have a lot to offer. What’s more, beyond the specific rewards that a single card may feature, some business cards may have hidden benefits as well. Case in point: Visa has announced some new offers available to eligible small business Visa customers.

First, two new promotions have been added to Visa SavingsEdge. Now, eligible Visa Small Business customers can get 50% off Yahoo’s System Mechanic software package, which helps improve PC performance by optimizing speed and fixing more than 30,000 issues.

Additionally, cardholders who are new to Bench Accounting can get a free month of the service as well as 30% off their next three months when they sign up using the SavingsEdge platform. With Bench, customers will be able to sync transaction data from their credit cards for easier bookkeeping, reporting, and tax prep. To take advantage of these offers and many others (including those from more than 60 merchants), cardholders can head to the Visa SavingsEdge site to register their cards.

In addition to these deals, Visa also announced a special two-day promotion with Authorize.net. On February 11th and 12th, new small business customers in the United States who sign up for the digital payment management platform will enjoy waived monthly gateway fees for the life of the account and waived transactional fees for the first 50,000 transactions. According to Authorize, this offer is valued at up to $5,000. As Authorize.net users, small businesses will have access to advanced fraud protection, invoicing, subscription billing, and more.

Speaking to the benefits of small business credit cards broadly, Visa’s SVP and North America Head of Business Solutions Veronica Fernandez said in a statement, “Despite over 80% of small businesses using a credit card for their business spend, we see that almost one-third still use their personal card. Business cards and their associated benefits are extremely important for SMBs; they can help with cashflow, drive savings and increase business efficiencies.”

Fernandez went on to note some of the specific perks for Visa Small Business customers, pointing out, “With Visa SavingsEdge, when small businesses use their business card, they can take advantage of offers and discounts with key business-related suppliers while helping to support their bottom line.”

Overall, even if neither of these current offers makes sense for your business at this time, it may be worth taking a look at the SavingsEdge site to see what other deals you may be able to make use of. Furthermore, let this announcement serve as a reminder that there may be more perks to your business credit cards than you might realize. So, be sure to follow up with your card issuer and/or payment network to see what other benefits you may be missing out on.
