CCBank Debuts New Rewards Card with Priority Pass Included
Utah’s CCBank has launched new rewards credit cards (powered by Deserve) that include some notable perks.
About the CCBank Peak Card:
First in CCBank’s new line up is the Peak card. This card earns 1.5% back on all purchases. Plus, cardholders enjoy a complimentary Priority Pass Select, which grants travelers airport lounge access at supported locations.
The CCBank Peak Card has no annual fee and doesn’t charge any foreign transaction fees.
About the CCBank Warriors Card
Next up is the CCBank Warriors Card. Released in partnership with Utah Warriors Major League Rugby team, this card includes bonus benefits for fans. Namely, the card earns 5% cashback on Warriors tickets, gear, and concessions. All other purchases earn 1.5% back.
Like the Peak card, the Warriors card also includes a Priority Pass for airport lounge access, has no annual fee, and doesn’t change any foreign transaction fees.
About the CCBank Summit Business Card:
Lastly, this May, CCBank will also roll out the Summit card. The business credit card will earn 2% cashback on all purchases and includes a Priority Pass Select.
Once again, the CCBank Summit is a no-annual-fee card, making it perfect for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
What they’re saying:
Announcing the new products, CCBank’s COO Eric Wright stated, “The Peak and Utah Warriors Rugby credit cards represent a major step forward in CCBank’s commitment to offering innovative, customer-focused financial solutions to our clients and community. With the power of Deserve’s mobile-first technology and Mastercard’s trusted benefits, we’re providing the ultimate combination of convenience, security, and rewards.”
My thoughts:
Easily the most interesting part of these credit cards (and the reason I wanted to write about them) is that they include a Priority Pass Select. For no-annual-fee cards, that’s a pretty stunning deal. Initially, when I saw this, I assumed that this was a limited pass with perhaps a handful of visits. However, according to the CCBank site, it includes “unlimited access to 1,600+ airport lounges worldwide.”
Assuming that’s true, these cards could prove to be hidden gems. Personally, I don’t have a need for Priority Pass so I won’t be finding out for myself — but I’d love to see some data points from those willing to take a shot on one of these CCBank cards.
As for the rewards, 1.5% back on everything isn’t bad, but it does come in below the numerous 2% back flat-rate cards available, such as the Citi Double Cash and Wells Fargo Active Cash cards. Still, the real star here is that Priority Pass, making these slightly inferior rewards moot in my opinion.
