With the travel industry continuing to rebound, Capital One is finally joining the premium travel credit card scene. This week, the bank officially announced the Venture X card. As CNN reports, the new card will open applications on November 9th and feature a slew of travel benefits along with a special introductory welcome bonus.

Starting with the annual fee, the Venture X card will come at a cost of $395. However, that will be offset by a $300 annual statement credit triggered by bookings made on Capital One Travel. As far as other perks, the card will offer complimentary Hertz President’s Circle status, include various travel insurance and protections, and allow airport lounge access via Priority Pass Select as well as the new Capital One Lounges.

Turning to mile-earning potential, Venture X will earn 10x miles on hotels and rental car bookings made with Capital One Travel, 5x miles on flights booked on the platform, and 2x miles on all other purchases. Plus, cardholders will earn 10,000 bonus miles on their cardholder anniversary each year. Finally, at launch, the Venture X will offer a 100,000-mile welcome bonus when customers spend $10,000 in purchases on the card in their first six months. Sweetening the deal even more, a limited-time offer will allow new cardholders to earn up to $200 in statement credits for vacation rentals such as Airbnb and VRBO.

Capital One’s announcement of a premium card was widely expected following the bank’s previous airport lounge reveal. The first of these lounges is now open at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport with locations at Washington Dulles International Airport and Denver International Airport set to follow next year. While Venture X cardholders and up to two guests will have complimentary access to these lounges, Venture and Spark Miles customers will only receive two free visits per year but can purchase subsequent entries for $45 (a $45 per guest charge will also apply for each visit). Additionally, all other airport travelers will be able to visit at a cost of $65 per person. Each Capital One lounge will include dining, grab-and-go food items, relaxation rooms, exercise rooms, shower suites, and more.

Overall, the Capital One Venture X is an intriguing entry into the travel card world. While the card is still a premium product, it does come in on the lower end of that description compared to the $550 Chase Sapphire Reserve and $695 American Express Platinum Card — not to mention the fact that the $300 Capital One Travel statement credits take the card’s effective annual fee down to $95, matching that of the standard Venture card. Between the Venture X and Capital One Louge openings, it will be interesting to see what other travel-centric moves the bank makes in the months ahead.
